2021 WSOP Main Event Final Table Profile: Alejandro Lococo

World Series of Poker

Lococo won $1,225,000 in 2021 after he finished 7th in the WSOP Main Event to take his total WSOP earnings to $1,233,114. His only cash at the series before the score was for $3,654 in 2019’s Event #82: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Double Stack where he finished in 107th place.

Lococo’s road to the Main Event Final Table was fairly comfortable, the player bagged 803,000 chips on Day 3 which put him in the top 11% of chip stacks. By the end of Day 7, he would have a stack of 83.7 million making him the second-highest chip stack at the final table.

Lococo would eventually bow out after colliding with German pro Koray Aldemir.

Lococo raised to 2,000,000 and Aldemir three-bet to 5,600,000 in the cutoff. The call by Lococo after 39 seconds followed and the JJ9 flop appeared, which Lococo checked. Aldemir made it 3,900,000 to go and Lococo came along to th 8 turn.

Another quick check by Lococo followed and Aldemir now fired a larger bet worth 11,400,000, which Lococo called once more. The Argentinian checked the 3 river in an instant and Aldemir took one minute and 33 seconds before firing a large bet for more than the pot.

Within just 14 seconds, Lococo called all-in for the 46,100,000 he had behind and Aldemir tabled the 99 for nines full of jacks. Lococo’s 1010 went down in flames and the Argentinian was eliminated.
